Since 2006 we have sourced our clothing from the most unique, quality and eco-friendly materials available. Going against the trend of using cheap synthetic fabrics. Our clothing is made to last, feels great, and good for the earth.
Our mission
We value doing the right thing and want to feel good about everything we touch. It starts with the fabrics we use. Making our clothing from strong hemp, soft spun bamboo, gentle organic cotton and our new silky banana fibre knit. Our clothing feels, wears and last like no other.
We are proud supporters of slow fashion which is why we design clothing to last. Our designs are simple and inclusive. We put your comfort first and hope the contemporary, easy-to-wear pieces will become your favourites for many years.
We manufacture in a mindful way. Choosing sustainable fibers like hemp and bamboo that have less impact on the environment. Using low impact dyes that are water soluble and biodegradable. Producing our products using small, local supply chains. You can feel good that the clothing you wear are as gentle on the earth as it is on your skin.
Our roots
It all began in 2006 when Valentina and Sam opened a shop named BamBamBoo in the small town of Quepos on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. They had a vision to provide travelers with unique, quality and eco friendly souvenir clothing and beachwear.
In 2010, we joined them in Costa Rica, and set out to expand their unique vision across the country. Our family home became workshop where we spent many hours designing, dying, and printing our clothing.
By 2014 our brand could be found in family owned BamBamBoo shops all over Costa Rica. We moved our workshop from our home to a dedicated location in the hills of Manuel Antonio.
Sticking to our roots we continue to use unique, eco friendly fibers and low impact dyes in our clothing and source our manufacturing locally; sewing our clothing in Costa Rica and the Americas.
